How PR can lead to awards

Well-chosen words can make winners out of growing companies. Congratulations to Words Worth client Public Sewer Services (PSS) which has scooped top places in the Business 2 Business and Environmental sections of the 2010 Southend District Business Award. Words Worth was commissioned to research and write the submissions to the awards' judges and they were clearly impressed with what we had to convey about this thrusting company. PSS is one of the unsung heroes of the business world. Working with Anglian Water and other major public bodies, its teams deal with numerous sewer crises and problems as well as new installations.

The work of Words Worth has in its 20-plus years taken a number of clients to awards success. Recently Jan Smith, Chairman of EOL IT Services, (pictured right) was named as one of Britain's most inspirational women in the Everywoman awards.
She received the Hera prize for her inspirational leadership and was presented with the trophy by TV presenter Fiona Bruce at London's Dorchester Hotel. It is a well-deserved award for Jan who started her IT recycling company (formerly End-O-Line) at her kitchen table with a £20 investment. Jan's main advice for budding entrepreneurs is: "Never stop believing in yourself."
